What is Yavapai Lodge like in Grand Valley? 3
I will visit the Grand Canyon at one place and stay at the Yavapai Lodge for 5 days. I wanted to save some money so I decided to buy some food and water before entering the park. Do all rooms at Yavapai Lodge have microwaves? Or do you have a great idea to eat in the garden?
I stayed at Yavapai Lodge ut a month ago. I had a small refrigerator in my room, but no microwave. This may apply to most rooms in Yavapai, but you are advised to call and confirm.
Yavapai Lodge is nothing special, but nice and comfortable (and cheaper than others). On the best side are all the chelts in the park, the only one that is not easily accessible on foot from the beach. But he was still in the garden, in the beautiful pine forest, and living on the shore meant more peace. Personally, I prefer Maswik Lodge, which is very similar to Yavapai, but close to shore. Yavapai is very difficult.
From the point of view of saving money on groceries, a major advantage of Yavapai Lodge is that it is located in a market area where there is a small town grocery store as well as a post office etc. it is. You can buy items from grocery stores that are cheaper than just one gram, but still cheaper than any restaurant in the park. The store also has a small snack bar which is probably the cheapest fast food in the valley.
When it comes to canine restaurants, Yavapai Lodge and Maswik Caf are the cheapest, but still the most expensive by external standards. It depends on what you are getting, but at $ 812 in food, there is likely to be a standard type of food option. Some small tourist restaurants outside the park gates in Tusayan's small street community may be cheaper than the restaurants in the park, but not much and you have to leave the park to get there. Tusayan owns McDonalds, which is probably the cheapest option on the market.
The closest real places to a large supermarket and many restaurants are Flags (0.15 EUR) and Williams (1 EUR).
If you're really worried about grocery costs, I'd say store non-cooking items (nuts, bread, cold cuts, PB&J, hey, fruit) on the flag to keep in the fridge. ۔ Audi went to Grand Canyon to eat, stopped and went out of his way to enjoy the view.

Yavapi does not have a microwave. It's a mile from the waterfront, but there's a free shuttle that will take you anywhere in the park. I suggest thinking about it because peripheral parking is a year-round problem. What about food, water, etc.? Everything in the park is more expensive than if you bought it from me. Basically because it is so far away from the rest of the world and most companies have to plan for the deployment of their employees. So don't be surprised if you go to McDonalds (out of the park) and pay more than usual for g mac. If you are accustomed to soft water, bring a bottle with you. Tap water is very hard, which means it contains a lot of minerals and can cause stomach upset in some people.
For dining in the garden, El Tovar Park has a 4-star restaurant and is great for dinner, but breakfast is cheap and you get food (you can distribute plates). For a nice dinner, I recommend the Arizona steak (they're also a bit of a favorite, but the food is great and you get what you pay for). Yavapi and Maswik (Mazwic) also have a cafe. Yavapi has very good fried chicken and a little bit of everything in the miswak. I can see that it helps you.
